Update 4/11/09:  Work to repair this fence has finally commenced.  The Mayor took my advise and chose one of his campaign contributors to repair this stretch of privacy link (Page 7).  This contract was awarded without the authorization of our City Council and without competitive bids.  I counted no less than 41 fence companies that advertise in the local Best Publication phone book that would have appreciated the opportunity to bid on this project.  This administration has one rule: NO PAY, NO PLAY.

Six months after the hurricane and this fence at our Public Works on Red Bluff looks like this?

The City has no excuse for not repairing this fence after IKE.  Fencing is a SECURITY ISSUE !!!  Repairs like this are very easy for a competent fence company.   I am sure that if the good Mayor checks his contributor list he will find someone to help with repairs.
